Map data from OpenStreetMap

On our website, we use an interactive map function to show you the location of our hotel and to make your journey easier.

For data protection reasons, the map is not loaded automatically when the page is accessed. Instead, a placeholder is displayed initially. The map function is only activated when you actively click the button to load the map. As a result, personal data may be transmitted to the third-party providers involved.

For the display of the map, we use map data from OpenStreetMap. OpenStreetMap is a free map project. The services of the OpenStreetMap Foundation include, amongst others, the website, APIs, standard-style map tiles and the Nominatim geocoding service. The use of these services is subject to the OpenStreetMap Foundation's privacy policy.

When you actively load the map, particularly the following data may be transmitted to OpenStreetMap or the OpenStreetMap Foundation:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of access
  • requested page
  • Browser and device information
  • potentially location or map section data


Where an address is converted into a map position, we use the service for this Nominatim from OpenStreetMap. Nominatim is used for search and address resolution based on OpenStreetMap data. The OpenStreetMap Foundation points out that the use of Nominatim is also subject to the OpenStreetMap Foundation's privacy policy and that no personal or confidential content should be transmitted to the service.

Processing is carried out on the basis of your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. You give this consent by actively loading the map. No connection to OpenStreetMap or Nominatim takes place prior to your consent.

If a satellite view is additionally activated on the map, we use map or image data from this for purpose Esri World Imagery. Among other things, Esri provides global satellite and aerial imagery. When loading this satellite view, technical access data, in particular your IP address and browser information, may also be transmitted to Esri. Esri describes in its privacy policy how personal information is processed in connection with its websites and services.

The satellite view will also only be loaded after your active consent. The legal basis here is also Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

You can use the map to display the location of our hotel. There is no obligation to use the map. Alternatively, you can also enter our address directly into a mapping service of your choice.

Your rights to information, correction, blocking, deletion and objection

You also have the right to correction, blocking or, apart from the prescribed data storage for business transactions, deletion of your personal data.
